I’m Samantha Ellithorpe, a dedicated leader, process improver, and lifelong learner committed to servant leadership, innovation, and personal growth. With a background in operations and grant management, my journey has been shaped by navigating complex organizations, fostering collaboration, and leading with purpose rather than power.

I’m currently the Pre-Award Manager in the Office of Research Administration at Western Carolina University (WCU), where I support faculty and staff in developing competitive grant proposals for research, programming, student scholarships, and more. My journey in leadership and entrepreneurship has led me to pursue a master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovative Leadership at WCU, where I am deepening my understanding of strategy, organizational culture, and systems thinking.

Beyond my career, I’m a wife, a mom of two, and someone who thrives on intellectual challenges. I believe in surrounding myself with people who push me to grow, and I am always looking for ways to refine my leadership skills.
